Our year 9 ‘Language Detectives’ recently graduated from their recent journey into different modern languages in conjunction with Durham University. They enjoyed a welcome and tapas lunch hosted by the Chairman of Durham County Council, Councillor Stelling and Councillor Sterling, followed by an insight by students and lecturers into what it’s like to study languages at Durham University, as well as solving language puzzles. All were really impressed by the experience and quoted:
‘It was great to learn about new cultures and languages’
‘It was very insightful’
‘Don’t live your life boxed in – learn a language.’
