Overview
As part of your child’s education at Greenfield Community College, we promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education programme. PSHE education is the curriculum subject that gives young people the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live safe, healthy, productive lives and meet their full potential.
PSHE education is taught throughout the school in every year group and is monitored and reviewed regularly by the staff and governing body. All PSHE teaching, takes place in a safe environment and is underpinned by our school ethos and values.
We encourage you to access the school’s social media and attend parent’s evenings where there will be more information about the topics covered and advice on how you can support your child whilst having these conversations at home.
As a school community, we are committed to working in partnership with parents. If you would like to find out more, discuss any concerns, please email the address below where a face-to-face meeting can be arranged to discuss whether having your child removed from specific lessons on sex education is appropriate.
