Wecan

WECAN is a friendly group that meets once a week. It is a group for parents, carers and grandparents of children.

The aims of the group include support, information sharing and a link between home and school.

Some of the activities that we have taken part in to date include the following;

Canoeing, aromatherapy, fun days, parenting skills course, food hygiene certificates, archery, bingo, making bird boxes, fruit picking, quiz, self-defence, drugs education, homework help, indoor bowling, children and parent’s residential, Zumba, domestic violence and lots more.

Thank you to the Aycliffe Youth Council for the funding you gave us towards our trip to Disney on ice.

Congratulations to the group and all those who supported the night, a fantastic  £320.50p was made. This will be shared between the Wecan parents' group and the children's hospice in Newcastle.





The WECAN group were a little nervous about trying go-karting for the first time. However they all did great and got some really good lap times, especially our race winner Christina.









The group having fun at their annual fun day at the Big Club in Newton Aycliffe. A fantastic £464.12 was raised to go towards activities for the group. Many thanks to the local businesses and community members that supported us.
