Live performance on a minibus at Greenfield!

posted 28 Apr 2015, 07:36 by anna.cole@greenfieldschool.net

Last week students at Greenfield Community College, Sunnydale campus, enjoyed a fantastic live performance in an unconventional venue! “Cape Wrath” followed the journey of Alex’s Grandad from the Midlands to Cape Wrath – the most North Westerly point of Scotland – and was performed in a minibus!

The show was written, directed and performed by Third Angel, a Sheffield based theatre company. Greenfield Arts were pleased to be able to fund this performance (which was also supported by Arc Stockton) at the Sunnydale campus for two groups of students: a Year 11 drama group who are considering careers in the theatre, and a geography group who were fascinated by the journey through Britain. The students and staff thoroughly enjoyed joining Alex on his journey.

This performance is one of a programme of high quality live performances brought to Greenfield Community College by Greenfield Arts. It is a pleasure to be able to work with local organisations and innovative theatre companies such as Third Angel to bring these experiences to Greenfield.
