Students at Greenfield Community College are taking their sport seriously as they achieve exciting results.

Tom Ord and Josh Jukes represented the Under 15 District team recently and were both influential in their quarter-final, beating Redcar 3 – 0 last week.  The two boys performed extremely well and can now look forward to the next round.

Mr Allison and all staff would like to wish Tom and Josh, who is captain of the district side, all the very best in the Under 15 District team semi-final match against Newcastle district.  This match will be played at home at the Bishop Auckland stadium and is sure to be an excellent spectacle.  The achievements have resulted from their footballing skills and resilience, training in all weathers and with great enthusiasm.

Greenfield Community College are committed to promoting sport and are presently engaging students in activities through the ‘Change for Life’ initiative.  Students are being offered the opportunity to try out new sports to improve their health and fitness and encourage habits to last a lifetime.  The take up has been excellent so far and students are lucky to have role-models such as Tom and Josh to inspire them.
