Greenfield Community College hosts teachers from Lithuania

Last week a group of teachers from Lithuania visited Greenfield Community College to observe lessons and speak to staff and teachers here about why creativity is important in school. The group of 23 visitors started with a tour of the school by pupils, had a chance to meet Senior Leaders and pupils to talk about the projects and learning that took place when Greenfield was a Creative Partnerships school and then each member of the group had the opportunity to observe a “Time 4 Success” lesson – Greenfield’s vertical tutoring system.

The group was made up of teachers from Creative Partnerships Lithuania schools and staff involved in the Creative Partnerships Lithuania programme. The trip was a great opportunity for them to see how Greenfield has successfully included creativity in all areas of the curriculum and school life. The teachers were particularly interested in “Time 4 Success,” they wanted to learn more about the benefits of working in that way and have been inspired to look at ways this idea might be incorporated into their work and how they can take their creative teaching further.

The visit was a recognition of the hard work staff at Greenfield have done since being a Creative Partnerships enquiry school to continue to champion creativity. This is one of many international visits to Greenfield this year, as the school continues to be recognised as a centre of excellence for both creativity and Global Learning opportunities.
