A ‘Playful’ Summer at Greenfield Arts

Our summer holiday activities have been a big hit with families this year, inspiring a playful spirit and sparking imagination.

Artist Sharron Bates conjured up a fabulous session with her window wizards as the young people got the chance to create a fabulous display for our entrance foyer.  Budding artists made their own brushes and produced some fabulous artwork with great enthusiasm.  The results are fabulous and can be seen on display at Greenfield Arts.

Our playful theme continued as Crazy Crafts expert Dawn Belshaw returned to Foundations Building, Shildon, inspiring young people to come together to create a wonderful piece of artwork and design their own puppet theatre.  Imaginations ran riot as they put their own stamp on this lovely theme and created their own characters.

Jilly Johnston brought the art of story-making to life leading a fun session where young people got the chance to create puppets, make a play and explore the wonder of words.   The results were amazing, a big well done to everyone!

Our Autumn learning programme for adults and young people is now available.  Why not come along and try something new, some of our popular favourites return with Exploring Collage, Yoga and Spanish and weekly sessions for young people in Dru Yoga and our ever-popular Art Club.
