Greenfield is a popular Specialist Arts & Science School.  We offer a broad and balanced curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4 and are committed to enabling our students to choose a learning programme which best suits them.   We strive to provide a caring and supportive learning environment for all students, whilst working in partnership with families and other agencies to help your child achieve their full potential.  Greenfield values all students and provides a wide curriculum equipped to meet the needs of all children.  We have a vast array of additional school activities including Arts, Music, Dance, Drama and Sport.

Our students are well prepared as creative learners to take their place in the global, technological community of the 21st century becoming responsible citizens with a real concern for the welfare of others. Through our partnerships we offer high quality real world opportunities.  The school has Investor in Careers status and is recognised as a centre for excellence for financial education as well as global learning.

Greenfield has a very special ethos.  We are not only caring and supporting of students but also determined that they will achieve the vest best they can.  The school is on an exciting and powerful journey.  Our young people achieve good results.

We expect, and get, good standards of behaviour.  Staff work as a team and present a consistent approach.   Our students continue to achieve high standards both in and outside the classroom and are a credit to the college and their parents.

OFSTED May 2017 said teachers use their good subject knowledge well to plan learning that interests and motivates students.  The robust actions taken by leaders are clearly accelerating the progress of students currently in the school.    Most students are confident young people.  They show respect for others and have positive attitudes to school, their peers and staff.  Students enjoy access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities and they participate with enthusiasm.

OFSTED November 2017 said the plans for school improvement are realistic and aspirational, supported by clear lines of accountability and timescales for meeting specific improvement areas.

The impact of leaders’ actions can be seen in the improved behaviour and increasing engagement and involvement of students.

The school demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusion and staff manage behaviour effectively.

Students are unequivocal in their pride for the school and being part of the diverse school community. They appreciate the extra efforts their teachers go to to help them improve and be successful in their learning.
